Lala Panzi B&B is run by Henrietta and Rainer Hengstmann, who live on the premises and are fluent in English, German, and Afrikaans. LaLa Panzi B&B; is the epitome of intergenerational collaboration and innovation. The Hengstmann family, with their diverse skill sets, have come together to create a sustainable and welcoming space that is sure to be a memorable experience for all who stay there. From the kitchen to the garden, every aspect of the B&B has been carefully designed to be both environmentally conscious and economically viable. ABOUT LALA PANZI
Michèle’s design for Lala Panzi features German engineering that is energy-conserving and eco-friendly, which includes a Photovoltaic system, high-insulation windows, extra insulation, a heat pump, and rainwater harvesting. This design ensures an uninterrupted 24-hour electricity supply, even during loadshedding, and provides a comfortable environment in all seasons.
The executive floor offers spacious suites with king-size XL beds (measuring 1.8m x 2.00m) and luxurious bathrooms. On the ground floor, there is a large flatlet with a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom, and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. The flatlet can accommodate an additional roll-in single bed (measuring 0.90m x 1.90m) for an additional guest at extra cost.
Lala Panzi boasts a stunning architectural design featuring large sun terraces that provide a clear view. The terrace is made of glass and stainless steel, creating a beautiful contrast with the thatched Boma and spacious guest suites.
Guests can enjoy a spacious, solar-heated saltwater pool, a charming thatched Boma complete with a BYO bar, and a communal entertainment area that includes a barbecue, dartboard, and sun loungers.
At Lala Panzi, we offer gas or charcoal barbecues (braais) for guests to enjoy. You can either bring your own food to braai or let us cater for you. You can also host a party by appointment.
